N2 - In this chapter these critical rights are examined from a Nordic perspective. Attention is paid to which healthcare providers are bound by the duty of confidentiality/privacy, which information is secret, the exceptions to confidentiality, special cases as genetics, the covid pandemic, emergency and the liability in case of negligence. Throughout the text, some specific practical cases are discussed. This gives a concrete overview of the similarities and differences between the different jurisdictions.
