Mikkel Jarle Christensen

Mikkel Jarle Christensen is associate professor in the Danish National Research Foundation’s Centre of Excellence for International Courts (iCourts). The research of Mikkel Jarle Christensen has contributed highly original perspectives on the internationalization of different forms of criminal law. As sociologist of law, MJC has published on the emergence of a new international field of criminal law and its transformations as well as on how national bureaucracies deal with international cooperation. As part of this research, he has also developed new research tools aimed at explaining the connection between global transformations of law and politics and the more discreet practices of legal elites who promote new forms of crime control at the international stage. MJC is currently involved in several collective projects aimed at expanding the investigation of how criminal law and its practitioner impact regional, international and global governance. Kjersti Lohne

Dr. Kjersti Lohne is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Criminology and Sociology of Law, University of Oslo. Lohne's primary research interests lie at the intersection of humanitarian and penal governance, and specifically the role of human rights NGOs in international criminal justice. She has also published in international peer-review journals on issues related to privacy and data protection, gender, crime and sexual violence, and "humanitarian drones". Thordis Ingadottir

Thordis Ingadottir is associate professor at Reykjavik University, Faculty of Law. She is also a Director in the Project on International Courts and Tribunals (PICT). Thordis has degrees in law from University of Iceland (1993) and New York University School of Law (LL.M 1998). She has published extensively on international courts and other international law issues such as international human rights, international humanitarian law, international organizations and international criminal justice. Besides teaching at Reykjavik University, Thordis serves on various councils, both for the government and non-governmental organizations. Immi Tallgren

Immi Tallgren, LL.D., University of Helsinki, is a research fellow at the Erik Castrén Institute of International Law and Human Rights at the University of Helsinki, senior visiting fellow at the London School of Economics, and membre associé, Centre de droit internationale, Université libre de Bruxelles.Prior to returning to academia in 2011, Tallgren worked for 12 years for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, the Legal Unit of the European Police Cooperation Organisation, the European Space Agency Legal Department in Paris, and the European Space Agency Brussels Office for Cooperation with the EU Institutions. Her research interests reach from public international law to history and sociology of international law, law & film, and legal anthropology. Tallgren is an active participant in various international collaborative projects and networks. Magnus Hörnqvist
