CILG researcher becomes co-director of COPE

On the 1st of November 2022, Associate Professor Beatriz Martinez Romera became co-director of the Copenhagen Center for Disaster Research (COPE), further strengthening CILG’s research profile on responses to climate change impacts. COPE is a platform for inter-disciplinary research, teaching and networking on disasters and climate change issues, which aims is to facilitate multidisciplinary research by supporting and promoting collaborative studies, sharing results from this research and circulating the results of these projects, thus advancing knowledge in the field.

The work at COPE has strong linkages with expertise at CILG on climate change loss and damage, resilience, adaptation, and vulnerability. We are therefore delighted to be part of this university-wide project and to enhance the role of the faculty of law in the joint efforts on disaster-climate research.
