New Visiting Researcher - Iheanyi Samuel Nwankwo

Iheanyi Samuel Nwankwo is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Legal Informatics, Faculty of Law, Leibniz Universität Hannover. His research focuses on the legal aspects of data protection, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. He has contributed to several EU-funded projects, ranging from FP7 to Horizon Europe.
Iheanyi has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in journals, including the African Journal on Privacy and Data Protection, European Data Protection Law Review, Electronics, European Journal of Health Law, and JIPITEC. He has also authored several book chapters.
As a part-time lecturer, Iheanyi teaches Introduction to European IT Law, focusing on EU data protection and cybersecurity law, as well as the impact of AI on intellectual property and privacy.
Prior to moving to Germany, Iheanyi practiced law as an attorney in Nigeria. He looks forward to interacting with researchers at CeBIL and presenting his research.
