New visitor at CeBIL - Giuseppe Ragucci
20 August - 20 September 2022
Giuseppe Ragucci is an Italian lawyer and PhD student at the University of Insubria (Italy). He specialises in comparative private law and European Union law, with a particular focus on health and life sciences issues related to pharmaceuticals, medical devices, medical technology, biotechnology, food, cosmetics and novel products.
Giuseppe’s PhD project focuses on a comparative analysis of the sustainability of research and development of orphan drugs. Studying the innovative field of health technologies has led Giuseppe to become interested in the use of artificial intelligence in the health sector and the associated impact on fundamental human rights.
Prior to his PhD, Giuseppe obtained a degree in Law from the University of Pavia and a degree in Social Sciences from the School of Advanced Studies (IUSS) in Pavia.
He is the author of academic and journalistic articles on health law for Italian and international journals.
During his research stay at CeBIL, he would like to take the opportunity to exchange ideas with academics on the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare and the related human rights implications, benefiting from the interdisciplinary orientation of the CeBIL programme.
