Yet the pathway to unlocking these health data spaces is laden with governance and data security hurdles that demand attention.

Bio
Iheanyi Samuel Nwankwo, PhD, is a postdoctoral research associate at the Institute for Legal Informatics, Leibniz Universität Hannover. He focuses on Data Protection and Cybersecurity Law and has a special interest in systematizing data protection impact assessment.
He is also a researcher on African issues related to IT law. He has published several works on this topic, including a forthcoming book chapter on the legal and ethical landscape of cross-border health data transfers from Nigeria. He also maintains a blog on ICT and Law in Nigeria.
