For language school participants
Below, you can find answers to following questions: How has my class been selected? How will my responses be processed?
How has my class been selected?
For the survey, we have randomly selected language centres in Denmark who are offering the official Danish Language Educations: DU1, DU2 and DU3. We conducted the survey among course participants on module 5 and 6 on DU1 and module 3, 4, 5 and 6 on DU2 and DU3. In each region we had defined a target number of participants, based on statistical information about the geographical distribution of immigrants within the target group. The target number was used to assess how many language centres should be invited in each region. The permission to conduct the survey in your class was granted by the management at your language centre.
How will my responses be processed?
Your responses are completely anonymous and are being treated confidentially. The completed questionnaires are only being used for research by the researchers involved in the project and are securely stored. We neither collect names nor addresses of any participants at the language centres, nor are we linking your response to official registers. Your responses are not being used to look at what your individual opinions are but are part of a large dataset, where we investigate patterns across large group of participants. The University of Copenhagen is adhering to the standards of the GDPR legislation which entail safe processing and storage of data. You can read more about data handling procedures at the University of Copenhagen in the UCPH Privacy Policy. Here, you can also read about your rights as participant in a research project.
