Self-financed PhD students
You can apply for admission as a self-financed PhD student if you can personally finance your PhD studies at the Faculty of Law and you meet the same admission requirements as other PhD applicants. The only difference between applying as a self-financed PhD student and applying as a PhD student seeking a scholarship is that self-financed students can apply for admission at any time. The decision on which PhD applicants are qualified for admission into the PhD programme is made by the Faculty of Law.
As a self-financed PhD student you are enrolled at the Faculty of Law but not employed and therefore, do not receive a monthly salary from the Faculty.
The PhD programme is subject to tuition fees. Each year, the Faculty determines and publishes the tuition fees for the PhD programme. The current tuition fee at the Faculty of Law is DKK 70,000 per annum.
