The General Court has rendered judgment on DG COMP's Google Android Decision, upholding all relevant parts. In the Decision, Google was doled a record fine for abusing the Android Mobile Operating System to protect its cash cow, the de facto control over internet advertisements. However, only two of the three accounts of abuse were accepted by the Court, warranting a 5% reduction. Besides this, DG COMP's approach was vindicated, confirming the availability of Article 102 when policing Big Tech and yielding a ruling the anti-trust community at large can be most pleased with.
