I have been invited by the University of Cambridge to in speak at a conference on personalized medicine that the University of Cambridgeis organizing at Hong Kong University (HKU) on April 7-8 2016. The conference is part of a collaboration between the Cambridge Centre for Law, Medicine and Life Sciences and HKU’s Centre for Medical Law and Ethics (which was established by the same donors). The aim is to identify some of the key legal and ethical challenges in personalized medicine. I am supposed to contribute to a session on incentives/resources/IP, with Kathy Liddell (and a scholar from East Asia) presenting.
Other confirmed speakers include Glenn Cohen (Harvard Law School), Hank Greely (Stanford), and Bartha Knoppers (McGill). From Cambridge, it will i.a. be Jeff Skopek and Kathy Liddell. There will also be a group of speakers from Oxford and London, as well as East Asia and Australia.
