Catherine Jacqueson sheds light on Danish welfare in French anthology

Welfare is one of the reasons why Danes feel as one of the happiest people in the word. The chapter puts the Danish model on the French legal map in a collective research publication celebrating the 70 years of the French social security system. The chapter outlines major parts of the Danish system and discusses the roots of the system placing it in Esping-Andersen’s famous typology of the welfare system. On that backdrop, the chapter then analyses the liberal wind, which has blown the last 20 years and how the system addresses increased internationalisation and mobility.
