New interdisciplinary book on social citizenship
Associate Professor Catherine Jacqueson has contributed with two chapters on the social rights of EU citizens.
The book discusses entitlements and impediments in accessing to welfare from a interdisciplinary perspective. It presents the result of a large project funded by the EU Commission, bEU citizen – all rights reserved? (FP7-program 2013-2017) in respect of social rights. Jacqueson’s first discusses the extent of EU citizens’ social rights in light of the ECJ’s case-law. Her second chapter discusses the impact of the divergences of social policy across the EU on free movement and is written together with two social policy experts from Tübingen University.
