PhD course: The basics of teaching and learning in higher education For PhD students

The aim of the course is that the participants learn to plan, facilitate and evaluate learning-centered teaching based on relevant scholarly theories of teaching and learning and develop their presentation skills and reflective awareness of their own practice of teaching. During the course, the participants will meet different approaches to university teaching: research-based teaching, constructive alignment, student engaging lectures, online teaching as well as formative feedback and summative assessment. The participants will be asked to plan and perform a teaching session, on which peers and teachers will provide feedback.
