Faculty administration

The faculty administration supports the faculty’s strategic development and quality assurance work as set out in the faculty’s strategic plan. In addition, the faculty administration carries out a range of managerial and administrative tasks – often in collaboration with the University’s central administrative units.

The faculty administration provides secretarial support to, among others, the Senior Management (JUR-LT) as well as the Academic Council, and offers strategic research advice in connection with external funding bodies and research-based collaboration with industry. The faculty administration also plans and organises PhD defences, administers the faculty’s visiting researcher programme, and provides support for HR-related tasks within recruitment, exit interviews, and salary negotiations. In addition, the unit handles tasks related to the onboarding of academic staff and senior academic staff, manages local budget control, supports management communication, and carries out a range of practical and service-related tasks, etc.
