Postdoc

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Imagine Project (European Constitutional Imaginaries: Utopias, Ideologies and the Other)

I earned my doctorate from the University of Amsterdam in 2020. My thesis ‘The Legal Governance of Historical Memory and the Rule of Law’, examined selected states’ treatment of their past and evaluated how governmental control over historical memory via legal measures affects the rule of law. The dissertation is the result of their work in the MELA Project (Memory Laws in European and Comparative Perspective).

Originally from Budapest, Hungary, I have degrees from Central European University (MA in Human Rights) and Eötvös Loránd University (BA in History). Previously, I have worked for local Hungarian NGOs as well as Amnesty International Hungary.

As postdoctoral researcher, I am responsible for a Hungarian case study, focusing on the historicizing of constitutional law of the country.
