1,4-Dimethoxy-2,3-dimethylbenzene was brominated under radical conditions to give the title compound, C10H11Br3O 4. The bond lengths and angles are generally within the normal ranges. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds.
