Julie Jarland is a PhD student at the JustSites project. She holds a Master’s degree in Criminology from the University of Oslo. Her research focuses on the intersections of criminal justice and armed conflict, with a combination of both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Current research
PhD student with the The Global Sites of International Criminal Justice (JustSites) project.
The PhD project examines the impact of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on conflict related violence by looking beyond the courts own intervention, to its influence on local and national justice processes. It combines statistical analysis at the global level with a qualitative analysis of the relationship between different justice processes.
