The annual CeBIL retreats are an opportunity to convene with other CeBIL collaborators, provide progress updates on each of the six CeBIL studies, and receive valuable feedback. The first virtual retreat focused on three studies: antimicrobial resistance, orphan drugs, and repurposing known drugs for new medical uses (led by LML). Dr Kathy Liddell (Director of LML) and Prof. Mateo Aboy (Principal Research Associate) began with an overview of LML’s contributions to the synergy study. This year, the Cambridge team worked towards four over-arching objectives in connection with the synergy study: Conducting additional research to complement the five core CeBIL studies Cross-cutting research on health information governance The development of empirical methodologies Preparing timely responses to the legal issues raised by the Covid-19 pandemic.
