This article reports and comments on interesting Danish Microlepidoptera collected in 2020 and includes remarkable
records from previous years. The classification and nomenclature follow the Danish checklist (Karsholt & Stadel Nielsen,
2013). Two species are reported as new to the Danish fauna in 2020: Cnephasia pumicana (Zeller, 1847) and Ancylis
comptana (Frölich, 1828) (Tortricidae). One species, Neurothaumasia ankerella (Mann, 1867) (Tineidae) is transferred
from the list of introduced species to the main list of Danish Lepidoptera, based on a record from nature. All the above
mentioned species have been found in automatic light traps. The total number of Danish Tineidae is now 47 and of
Tortricidae 398. This results in a total of 1634 species of Microlepidoptera (families Micropterigidae–Zygaenidae +
Pyralidae–Crambidae) recorded from Denmark. The total number of Macrolepidoptera species recorded from Denmark
is 982, bringing the number of Danish Lepidoptera to a total of 2616 species. In spite of several new species for the
Danish fauna and additionally interesting records, collecting activity on Danish Microlepidoptera has been rather low
these years. This is the 42th article in the series of yearly lists of Microlepidoptera from Denmark published in
Entomologiske Meddelelser.
