I am interested in the evolution and diversification of plants. In particular, I have been studying legumes, third largest family of flowering plants and the second most prominent family after the grasses in economic value, at various taxonomic levels using molecular markers and genomic approaches like RNA-seq and target-enrichment.
My current research at the University of Copenhagen focuses on the phylogeography of multiple broad-leaved tree species from Caspian forests in Iran using next-generation sequencing methods such as RAD-seq.
