New visitor at CME - Claas-Lennart Götz

Claas-Lennart Götz is research associate under Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Holger Fleischer at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg since 2021.

He studied law at Bucerius Law School, Hamburg, from 2015 to 2020 as well as at the University of Cape Town, in 2017. During his program of study, he was student assistant under Prof. Dr. Birgit Weitemeyer, Chair of Tax Law and Director of the Institute for Foundation Law, until 2018. From 2019, Claas has worked as student assistant under Prof. Holger Fleischer. He sat for his first state exam in law in December 2020.

In his dissertation, Claas conducts a comparative analysis of the German and the Nordic Corporate Governance Models. Besides, he is interested in the field of Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence where he has worked extensively on the new German Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations for the Prevention of Human Rights Violations in Supply Chains.
