Report on the need for a Danish mediation act
In January 2017, the Danish Institute of Arbitration set up a committee to investigate the need for a Danish mediation act. The committee has recently published its report, in which the committee recommends the adoption of an act on mediation in commercial disputes. The report contains a concrete proposal for such an act, which, inter alia, aims to make the mediation process predictable and reassuring for the business community. Postdoc Johan Tufte-Kristensen has chaired the committee. The committee’s report is available at https://voldgiftsinstituttet.dk/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/lovforslag-om-mediation.pdf.
