POSTPONED - Low Capital Companies and Creditor Protection
The conference has been postponed
Limited liability companies carry an inherent need to protect company creditors. The traditional method has been for legislators to require a paid-in minimum capital. However, in recent years there has been a strong trend away from legal capital towards other methods that can both facilitate innovation and entrepreneurship by making start-ups easier and protect creditors.
In this conference hosted by the University of Copenhagen and European Company and Financial Law Review (ECFR) the trend is explored and the available legislative solutions are debated. The European Commission presents the acquis of EU company law and then the law of ten EU Member States are presented in detail and debated.
