New visitor at CECS - Christoph Jonas Grüninger
Christoph Grüninger is a PhD candidate and currently in the final stages of his doctoral studies in the field of constitutional interpretation at the University of Basel, Switzerland. In his research, he focuses on constitutional interpretation in methodological, but also in institutional terms. From a methodological point of view, he asks himself, for example, to what extent constitutional interpretation deviates from statutory interpretation - namely due to the regular influence of democratic votes on constitutional law. From an institutional point of view, he deals with different models and systems of constitutional jurisdiction.
He holds a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Law degree from the University of Basel and is admitted to practice before all Swiss courts. Prior to his research stay at the CECS, he has already completed a research stay at the Law School of the University of California, Berkeley.
