About the centre

CIIR was established as a centre at the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen in January 2010 (as a research team in May 2009).

At the Centre for Information and Innovation Law (CIIR) we are interested in a wide range of legal issues within the information and innovation law areas – both national and international – that lie at the intersection of law and technology and the heart of modern society in the digital age.

This includes emerging and traditional issues related to intellectual property and data protection as well as internet and technology regulation.

CIIR’s research is anchored in law but includes interdisciplinary approaches, where phenomena are analysed from a variety of angles.

We are an open and inclusive research environment and embrace collaboration within academia and beyond, so don‘t hesitate to reach out.
