New visitor at CECS - Emil Oljemark

Emil Oljemark is a Doctoral Candidate in Public Law at Åbo Akademi University, situated in Turku, Finland. His PhD-research is about the concept of member state institutional autonomy in implementing and enforcing EU-law. He has a background of completing his master’s exam in the year 2008, followed by nine years of work as a practitioner in EU rural development funding, before returning to academia. The specific administrative setting of his previous work as a practitioner guided him into research and instruction in the field of EU's Constitutional and Administrative Law.  In his work at Åbo Akademi University he is involved in continuous learning, providing university courses in Law for students not enrolled as degree students.

During his visit Emil will work on the comparative part of his thesis, including analysis of how Denmark, Finland and Sweden have organized their administration in particular areas harmonized by EU-law. As the visit is quite short, Emil will be scrutinizing into the Danish system.
