Amalie Giødesen Thystrup

Amalie Giødesen Thystrup is PhD Fellow at the Centre for Enterprise Liability (CEVIA), Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen. Her main areas of research include international trade law, trade in services, international investment law, global governance, public/private interplay, and supply chain analysis.
Prior to joining the PhD Programme, Amalie was an Assistant Attorney at Kammeradvokaten/Advokatfirmaet Poul Schmith in Copenhagen. She is a member of the New York Bar, and has degrees from both the University of Copenhagen (LLB and cand.jur (LLM)), and and from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, New York (LLM). Over the course of her study and research, she has been visiting a number of other research and educational institutions, including, the University of Edinburgh, New York University, and the Graduate Institute Geneva. She also has experience in international organisations, including the Permanent Mission of the European Union to the World Trade Organisation, and later, the World Trade Organisation.
