Testing Private Governance project in Portugal

Between 3-5 October 2018 Researchers from Center for Enterprise Liability visited two renowned law schools in Portugal: Law School of the University of Lisbon and the Research Centre for the Future of Law at the Catholic University of Portugal-Porto. The purpose of these visit was to present an upcoming CEVIA research project on Private Governance, share knowledge, build international network as well as investigate opportunities for potential future collaboration. Each of the workshops in Lisbon and Porto were structured around three pillars: Private actors as regulators, Private actors as implementers and Private dispute resolution. In each of the pillars both researchers from the host Portuguese institutions as well as CEVIA researchers presented their work in areas such as: aviation, construction contracts, public procurement, tax arbitration, construction arbitration, preliminary market consultation, certifications, administrative arbitration, arbitration and CSR clauses.
