The 20th Congress of the International Academy of Comparative Law

The International Academy of Comparative Law organized its 20th Congress between July 22 – 28, 2018 in Fukuoka, Japan, The Congress was opened by Japanese prince and princess and the inaugural lecture has been delivered by Hon. Chief Justice Susan Kiefel from Brisbane, Australia. Over 800 distinguished participant from all over the world participated in the event.

Faculty of Law has been represented by Professor Ditlev Tamm who contributed - on the second day of the congress - to the session on Conditions of the recognition of the civil status of transsexual and transgender people.

Assistant professors Alexandra & Marta Andhov from CEVIA - Centre for Enterprise Liability delivered their papers at the Younger Scholars Forum which took place on 3rd day of the Congress. Alexandra presented her paper on Effect of Digitalization on Corporate Governance. Will Blockchain Create Greater Efficiency and Transparency? While Marta presented her paper, on How can we fight many faces of corruption in the EU Public Procurement?
