LUII Roundtable with Clíodhna Murphy
The Centre for Private and Governance is happy to announce the first webinar of the series ‘The Governance of Immigrant Integration’, organised in the framework of the LUII project (Law and Private Governance for a New Understanding of Immigrant Integration).
The roundtable webinar will start with a presentation by Associate Professor Silvia Adamo, Postdoctoral Researcher Matteo Bottero, and PhD Fellow Maj Rørdam Nielsen of the main purposes, participants, and expected outcomes of the LUII project. Afterwards, Associate Professor Clíodhna Murphy will give a presentation on ‘Human Rights and Equality ‘Auditing’ of Integration Policy: Lessons from an Irish Study’, providing a human-rights and equality perspective on integration policy in the Irish context. The floor will then be open to a wider discussion on the potential role for law and private actors/private governance in the field of immigrant integration. To conclude the webinar, both the participants and the audience will engage in a discussion on the Commission’s new EU Pact on Migration and Asylum and the Action Plan on integration and inclusion for 2021-2024.
