New Visiting Researcher at iCourts Professor Liyu Han

Professor Liyu Han is a professor of law and the Director of International Law Teaching and Research Division at Renmin University of China Law School.  Professor Han is on the Indicative List of Panelists, WTO DSB.    

Professor Han has got his LLB, LLM and PhD of law at Renmin University of China. He also got Postgraduate Diploma in Common Law at the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law. Professor Han visited the University of Iowa and Georgetown Law Center as visiting scholar, and visited UNIDROIT at Rome as a visiting researcher.

Professor Han’s research mainly focus on Trade Law, including the WTO law, US trade law, commercial transaction, and anti-trust law. Professor Han published a number of papers and books. Among his recent publications are Let Bygones be bygones: WTO Dispute Settlement System (2009), and Merger Remedies (2011).

During his stay at iCourts, Professor Han will focus particularly on the WTO DSS and its influence on the rule of law in China. Professor Han will visit iCourts until the end of January 2013.
