New visitor at iCourts - Luisa Giannini
Luisa Giannini is a PhD Candidate at the Institute of International Relations of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Her doctoral research examines whether practices of contestation carried out by different audiences in the fields of law and politics are able to change the meaning of a legal norm. It does so by drawing on the discussion around the meaning and application of the norm of Immunity of Heads of State in the Al Bashir Case in the International Criminal Court.
Luisa is a researcher on international criminal tribunals at Núcleo de Estudos em Tribunais Internacionais (Centre for the Study of International Courts) of the University of São Paulo (NETI-USP).
Her main research interests include theories of International Relations and International Law; interdisciplinary studies between International Relations and International Law; international criminal courts and tribunals; conflict resolution; and refugees.
