New research assistant joining IMAGINE at iCourts

iCourts welcomes Marina Bán as a new research assistant from May 1st, 2020. She will join ICourts’ IMAGINE Project, where she will be responsible for the case study on Hungary.
Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, Marina Bán has completed her bachelor’s degree in History at Eötvös Lóránd University in 2014, followed by a Master’s degree in Human Rights from Central European University. Before embarking on a PhD, she has worked with Amnesty International.
Marina is currently finishing her PhD at the University of Amsterdam. In her thesis, she examined how legal measures regulating remembrance to historical events may contribute to the fulfilment of rule of law standards. Marina’s research interests include human rights, constitutional law and historical memory.
