New Visitor at iCourts - Misha Plagis

Misha Plagis completed her doctorate in law at the Freie Universität Berlin in 2018, as part of the Human Rights Under Pressure interdisciplinary and international research training group. Her doctoral work focused on the ‘right to access justice’ and the creation of new courts in rural India and South Africa.
Prior to her PhD, Misha received her LL.B. (2011) and LL.M. (2012) from Maastricht University and worked with a number of NGOs around the world. Currently, her research focus is on the workings of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, and in particular on the development of the Court’s jurisprudence. She is also the associate editor of the ACtHPR Monitor.
