New PhD Student at iCourts
The Faculty welcomes Salome Addo Ravn as PhD Student at iCourts from the start of June 2019.
Her research project focuses on the Authority and effectiveness of the African Court of Human and People’s rights. The project will seek to distinguish the contextual factors affecting the Court’s authority in fact and effectiveness to assist in explaining its jurisprudential approach.
Prior to commencing her PhD, Salome worked at the Danish Institute for Human Rights as a research assistant. Under this role, she provided research and administrative assistance to the National Research Director and project manager of the ‘Realizing the SDGs: The Role of Responsible Business’ project. Salome is a member of the Ghanaian Bar Association and has practised as a lawyer for nearly 3 years in Ghana. She also has an LLM from the University of Copenhagen.
