New visitor at iCourts - Túlio Medeiros Jales

Túlio Jales is currently a PhD Candidate in Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of São Paulo (USP). During his stay at iCourts he will be working on his project that aims to devise normative principles for overruling precedents at Brazilian Federal Supreme Tribunal (STF), providing argumentative transparency, rationality and evaluative patterns to analyze STF interpretative activity on judicial precedents. His publications and research interests are focused on legal theory, legal reasoning, constitutional theory and constitutional courts.
He was a visiting researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law. In Brazil he served as researcher for different legal institutions, including the Getulio Vargas Foundation Law School (FGV-SP), where he also was a Teaching Assistant for graduate courses. He received his Master of Laws in Constitutional Law and his Bachelor of Laws from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN)
