New visitor at iCourts - Alina Balta

Alina Balta is a PhD Researcher and Lecturer at the International Victimology Institute Tilburg (INTERVICT), Tilburg Law School. Alina is conducting research on the right to reparation for victims of international crimes. In particular, her project is scrutinizing the relevant case law of the International Criminal Court, the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, and the European Court of Human Rights. In this position, she is also teaching and coordinating the course 'Victims in National and International Criminal Justice', within the MSc Victimology and Criminal Justice at Tilburg University. Alina has extensive working experience at the international level, having studied or worked at various European and international (research) organisations, such as the European University Institute, Europol, and Asser Institute. Alina will be visiting iCourts in the period of 19 November 2018 - 7 February 2019.
