Alexia Brunet Marks is an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Colorado Law School. Professor Brunet Marks' primary teaching areas and interests include international economic law, food law, and civil litigation and her approach is often empirical. Her articles have been published in the Journal of Empirical Legal Studies, the North Carolina Law Review, the Harvard Journal on Regulation and other leading journals.
Before joining Colorado Law, Professor Brunet Marks was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Northwestern University School of Law. Earlier in her career, she worked at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Argonne National Laboratory. Professor Brunet Marks received her J.D. from the Northwestern University Law School and also holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University. She has received research awards from the Colorado European Union Center for Excellence, the Federalist Society, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the National Science Foundation. Professor Brunet Marks is a member of the American Bar Association, the Society for Empirical Legal Studies, the American Society of International Law, and a founding member of the Academy of Food Law and Policy.
