Synapse hosted an event about antimicrobial resistance (AMR), aimed to shed light on the current status and future perspectives of AMR and what effect it will have on industry and academia. Anti-microbial resistance is a worldwide problem that affects hundreds of thousands of people every year. Globally, scientist and industry is working hard to combat AMR with new medicine and technology. There is a huge need for qualified graduates in industry, who are able to contribute to this battle against AMR. The event was intended to inspire students who are interested in this topic to choose career in this direction but also it will create some awareness among those who do not know about much it yet. CeBIL was invited to deliver a lecture to contribute to the understanding of the scope and legal aspects of the problems with AMR and which problems society is facing now and in the future.
