The focus of the event was ‘Recreating Copyright Law, Redesigning Design Law, Resourcing Trademark Law, and Reinventing Patent Law’. The event took place between August 25-28, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee. Helen Yu presented as a keynote speaker at the conference. The presenters and participants of this conference were mainly from the international IP academic community. Her presentation engaged IP academics in a discussion on how the current patent system can be interpreted to support AI and precision medicine in light of recent case law.
