Sidsel Engmann Juul

Sidsel Engmann Juul is a Ph.D.-student at CLIMA at the University of Copenhagen. Her research centers on human rights and the European Court of Human Rights - in particular, the interpretation practices by the Court when it comes to the rights and freedoms of minorities and vulnerable groups.

Her dissertation will be on the European Court of Human Rights’ use of the interpretive tool European consensus in terms of minorities. The PhD-project is co-financed with the Danish Institute for Human Rights and is supervised by Professor Jens Elo Rytter and Head of Research Pernille Boye Koch.

Sidsel holds a Master in Laws from the University of Copenhagen and has previously worked at the Danish Institute for Human Rights and the Ministry of Social Affairs.
