Study environment and facilities

You will get to experience quite a variety with regard to the way classes are conducted at graduate level. The class size is max. 30 to 40 students per class. Usually between 25 to 40 students participate in class.

The English-taught courses are conducted at an advanced academic level and you must therefore have a very good command of English to be able to follow courses and participate in group discussions. Both Danish and international students follow the courses offered in English - you will therefore get to meet both Danish and international students.

A lively study environment

In the faculty's building is a large atrium (with spiral staircase) and the knowledge centre, where you will find a library and information specialists, lounge and café area, reading room, individual and group study spaces, group rooms and work spaces for up to 200 master students writing their theses. Teaching facilities have completely new fittings, and there are courtyards and roof terraces.

The Faculty has more than 4000 students and it is the largest of Denmark's four law schools. The campus is situated on South Campus that bring together various lively academic environments from the faculties of Law, Humanities and Theology.
 
The Faculty has about 50 full-time professors and associated professors. The Faculty also has about 400 part-time external lecturers who teach both at bachelor and master level. The external lecturers all have a law degree and work e.g. as lawyers, judges or heads of section in ministries.

Study facilities 

In 2017 the Faculty of Law moved to South Campus in completely new buildings with nice group rooms, reading rooms, green outdoor areas, canteens and cafes. The campus areas bring together various lively academic environments with high academic standards and makes possible innovation and interdisciplinary cooperation between the students and the various academic and research groups. The move to South Campus provides a unique opportunity to create the framework for an excellent study environment, and to prioritise a mutual commitment to teaching and research of the highest standard.
