Living in Copenhagen

We hope that you will feel at home both at the Faculty and in Copenhagen. If you would like to learn some Danish or about Danish culture, the University of Copenhagen offers the following courses tailored for international students:

Danish Language Courses

The University of Copenhagen offers Danish language courses to all international students from non-Scandinavian countries. Even if you take courses taught in English at the University of Copenhagen, knowing some Danish – even just basic words – can be very useful. Taking part in Danish language courses is also a good way to learn more about Danish culture and to meet other international students. Read more.

Danish Culture Course

Each semester the University of Copenhagen offers a Danish Culture Course and a range of intensive courses about Danish cultural and historical issues such as film, Nordic mythology and the Royal Danish Court. The courses are open to all international students regardless of their fields of studies. As part of the courses students go on excursions around Denmark during the semester. Read more.
