Christian is currently pursuing a PhD at the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen, focusing on the interplay between law, development and behavioural economics. Christian's work touches on topics such as Economic Complexity, Food Security and Market Regulation in the Global South.

At the heart of his academic interest lies the question of how we can obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of economic development and thereby rewrite the rules so the most vulnerable are not left behind in the pursuit of prosperity.

Prior to commencing his PhD, Christian worked as a research assistant at the Development Economics Research Group (DERG) at Copenhagen University. He holds a master's degree in Economics from Copenhagen University.
