This project will examine the regulation of and possible legal effects of transboundary wake effects of off-shore wind farms - in other words ‘wind theft’. It will examine the regulation of this phenomenon in the light of international conventions such as UNCLOS and explore the use of bi- and multilateral agreements as a possible regulatory tool in regards to the consequences of wake effects. When exploring this rather unregulated area we would like to compare to the bi- and multilateral agreement schemes used when dealing with other resources eg. fish and oil.
