Lachlan Bryant Lugg
Lachlan has recently obtained a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of International Studies at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. This semester he completed his studies at the University of Copenhagen while on exchange as a LLB student. 
Lachlan joins the climate desk from January to investigate the ongoing impacts of climate change in Australia. Specifically, Lachlan will focus on two key flooding events that occurred in Australia in 2022 and analyse the failures of the country’s insurance regime in protecting climate induced flood victims. He has previously worked within the disaster recovery sector, providing free legal support to those most affected by the flooding in northern NSW where he witnessed this issue first hand.
