Kirstine Frida Rysbjerg

Kirstine Frida Rysbjerg is a bachelor student of law at the University of Copenhagen. 

For more than a decade, there has been a change in the laws of market regulation of agricultural land in Denmark. The change has involved a liberalization, which has led to a change in ownership of agricultural land in Denmark. In this project, I draw attention to this change by scrutinizing the current legal structure with regards to ownership in Denmark. Thus, attempting to identify the legal and the real owners of agricultural land in Denmark. Moreover, I look at the possibilities for EU Member States to implement measures that protect farmland from e.g., land speculation without violating EU law.
