Title: The effect of CBAM on third countries
Description: This project examines the impact of the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on third countries. Firstly an overview of CBAM, EU ETS and EU's fit for 55 package in a global context. Secondly, it will analyze the legal implications of CBAM for third countries within a specific sector and explore the strategies third countries can use to adapt to CBAMs impact. Lastly, it will discuss how CBAM can be used as an instrument to encourage climate action and its potential geopolitical implications.
