Elliot Lester

Elliot is an Australian student on exchange, currently pursuing a LL.B. and a Bachelor of Arts with a specialisation in environmental and social justice. She has completed research on reconciling renewable energy expansion with the law of the sea and has experience assisting with research and data analysis on Australian federal government contracts. She has previous experience working in India on environmental solutions with grassroots organisations and has given a community and social justice-based TEDx Talk. She is particularly interested in questions of environmental equity and the ways legal frameworks can either entrench disadvantage or serve as tools for innovation and social change.
