Brian Andersen

Climate Change is driving significant change in the arctic, making shipping routes more navigable as reductions in sea ice continue. Brian is from the U.S., and will use his experience to start a project exploring arctic shipping, with a particular focus on the U.S. strategy as an actor in arctic shipping. 

 

Brian joins the center from the Masters of Science in Climate Change, with the intention of writing his thesis on the science of attributing extreme weather and climate events to anthropogenic climate change, which is at the core of operationalizing a loss and damage fund within the UNFCCC.
